First 6 Charlier Etudes for Trumpet

I am posting 6 of the Charlier Transcendental Etudes for Trumpet.

I will post the 36 etude accompaniments for anyone to listen to if they care to when they are completed. I have 4 more to go.

These are taken from the trumpet etude book. There are no accompaniments (actually there are some, but not the entire book.)

I composed these accompaniments as a Companion book to the Charlier Etudes. The trumpet parts will not be published with the piano accompaniment. The student will have to purchase that book separately.

I am using the GPO 4 Steinway Piano and the GPO 4 trumpet. If you are a brass player and would like to try these on your own with an accompanist, I can arrange getting one to you for perusal and feedback. Let me know if you are interested. I have not done any mastering of the sound. It is as it comes out from Finale. When I get a chance I will do the hard work on mastering them.

I will present these in groups of 6. Here are links to the first 6:

AH - So this is a companion post to what you posted in March (Forum search just now reminded me) - You informed us about "The Theo Charlier Accompaniment Companion" book at that time, and now we can hear rendered examples of your piano accompaniments with trumpet. Great, Bill. Thanks for letting us hear what must have been a huge undertaking for you!

    Hi bill,

I'm glad to hear the Belgian trumpet player Charlier again. You've certainly honoured him with your well crafted accompaniments. The suit the trumpet very well, each in a different style.

It strikes me that some have a very different acoustic and reverb. (And number 3 has obviously fallen out of the box).

    Thanks for sharing,
