Make Sonar edit more like ProTools

Snap to Grid: Set this to \"Abosulte Time = 1 frame\" This will allow you to click on any section of the wav file, not just a beat or grid maker.

Drag and Drop Options: Set this to \"blend old with new\" and uncheck \"ask every time\"

Tap \"S\" to make a cut/edit/split as wav file is playing. This way you can listen to your audio and just \"pop\" the S when you hear an edit to be done.

Scrubbing via external control (Tascam/Mackie)Select the scrub comand. Press and hold right mouse over track and then use external wheel.

Spacebar pause not restart: To do so, go to Options-Global and check/uncheck the \"On Stop, Rewind to Now Marker\" option.

    Frank,

You don\'t have to change the \"snap to\" setting to be able to click anywhere. Just click the snap to icon and that toggles it on and off. That way you can keep it set for when you need it.

Heck, I hope you can get your SONAR rig editing smoother than ProTools. Faint praise, there, haha. The goal was to make it as smooth as Vegas (although they haven\'t quite made it)!

I hear ya. I love Vegas. Use it for so much but I still belive PT is the best for pure wav edit.
