Beautiful track, Kid, I really enjoyed listening to it. Great mood and shifts in texture.
My only suggestion would be to change the beat near the end. Is it from BT\'s Beatz from the Nu Skool? Anyhow, I love that collection, but I find that in this case, the drums sound too heavy for the track and the arrangement around it.
Really nice Kid.
Great build and super blending of orch and synth elements. Quite like the break and the way it builds back up.
It might have been an idea to let the orchestral side break out a bit more in the second half. (Just a half a**ed thought since I didn\'t have anything else to pick on)
Only since Matt said it sounded familiar, I found it put me in a Requiem for a Dream kinda place. Reminiscent but not derivative
As a backing piece it\'s 100% there for me. As foreground music I wanted the cello melody to be more forward, and I wanted it to take a leading role in the second half. Currently it\'s all side-men - which is perfect for backing a film or other media.
Along the \"featured voice\" track, having the front instrument played live with appropriate processing/doubling would really put it over the top.
The Gabriel-esque touches are really nicely done. The echoing of certain instruments and melodies is especially tasty. You put in a lot of attention to detail, and it shows.
