First VSL Opus 1 Demos Online

I just noticed that the first two Opus 1 demos, by Antongiulio Frulio, are online at the VSL site. Very exciting compositions I think - especially AF_The_3rd_day.

Go to the Vienna Symphonic Library and check out the \"Opus 1 demo\" thread for a direct link. http://vsl.co.at/english/pages/forum/start/forum.htm

Great Demos! That\'s it for me. Besides GPO I\'m getting Opus 1.

Notice in their forum that they post the midi files and giga files of the demos as \"tutorials\". Maybe I\'ll switch to VSL just from the mere fact it may be a better learning tool.

I have the distinct impression that he didn\'t use any Performance legato instruments.

I\'m not really impressed with those demos. I really like the woodwinds and some of the strings are okay, but the brass is way too bright more my taste.

You\'re right Alex - he isn\'t using performance tools legato there. (I use VSL as well.)

A lot of VSL users leave it out occasionally to get more dynamic attacks in passages making the lib more versatile in a variety of apps.

(ps: Nice Stuff on your site GreatZed!)

    Antongiulio Frulio\'s AF_The_3rd_day is wonderful.

    Great composition. Very exciting.

(A motif first stated by oboe at about 1:27 reminds me of a section in Stravinsky\'s Petroushka.)

    Bravo!
