Cool Mozart K.292 Gofriller Cello (& Bassoon) sonata

I still think that for realistic solos nothing sounds like the Gofriller Cello!

Mozart - Bassoon and Cello sonata K.292

Chamber music is the most challenging test for solo instruments, isn't it?

    Best Regards and Merry Christmas!!

You are a very talented bassoon player, Fabio.

    It's a shame it fades away at 1:28 .

Yes, and Yes - affirmative to both questions. Beautifully done, Fabio - and I echo the disappointment that it's such a short recording!

Merry Christmas - and thanks much for the tantalizing clip.

Well, the cello is great but the bassoon and your playing is also great.
I agree that the fade out was way toooo early......
All Mozart and how nicely you did it.....
    Thanks for posting it.
Merry Xmas to you and a happy New Year,

    Thank you guys!

(... when I was young I was so ignorant I signed-in a class of Oboe thinking it was the Bassoon... then I discovered the Oboe wasn't so bad but still i love the Bassoon!)

Grazie Fabio auguroni anche a te!

Yep Randy I checked all the last products on the market: almost all of them have a better sound because they are only well sampled, but none of them reach the realism and expression of the Garritan Solo Strings... Can't wait somebody join the quality of the modern samples with the programming of the Gofriller/Stradivari...

Yes Ted I try to apprach a rendering like a real performance, I consider it a kind of art, not just sterile mock-up making.

    Hi Fabio,

This (little) bit of Mozart's genius is so well set to virtual instruments of high quality, that it shows the realism of a live recording. Very wel done. And you're absolutely right: Solo instruments demand a lot of craftsmanship to have them play in a convincing way. And again, we can't say it enough: G. Garritan was miles ahead with his libraries. Such a pity that they stopped developing.

Thanks for sharing and a happy New Year!

    Excellent rendition of this, Max... very convincing;
and the "conducting" was spot on. With others,
I would have enjoyed hearing more!

    All the best,
