What instruments does this Bill Brown title include?

    I just listened to Bill Browns score for the game \"Wolfenstein\". It has some amazing and powerfull hornsections - and I cant recall ever hearing these in any known samplelibrary.

    The demo is here:

    Could somebody enlighten me and tell me what libs you think he used?

    Thx in ---> advance <---

    Yours - Chris

    I am pretty sure he uses custom brass here.... No way you can get QLB to sound like that - I cant speak for Roland though.

    Once again, I believe it was worked over in the interview:

    Actually, you know, I asked him that same question?

    It\'s totally obvious Bill couldn\'t have used nylon tips! I mean... come on!

    But the horns!? The horns!? How can they be so sharp and biting in the beginning! It must be custom made. Damn! I can\'t any of you recall a sample library which can make such a bite? I havent tried Sam yet - maybe you can enlighten me Maarten?

    Lewis, yes those trombones (not horns) were, as you can read in the Bill Brown interview, played live for the piece - no sample library.
