    Sample library translation

What are the differences between a translated library e.g. AKAI to GIG or EXS 24 to GIG etc. and a library in GIG format. Will for example advanced orchestra sound the same way when translated from AKAI to GIG as the GIG version self? If not, is there a possibility to get the information with which you can turn the AKAI library exactly into the GIG library.

<font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana, Arial\">It depends. Some translate almost exactly. If a producer (as in AO) has done Giga-specific programming in his Giga version, then no, you won\'t get that.

I think you\'re probably on your own in that regard. You can either license a crossgrade (which many developers have priced VERY reasonably) or just jump in there and program your own versions using the Giga features you want. Sometimes, the latter is actually better--you know what you need, so you can evaluate the raw materials you get after conversion and program them in the way that best fits your way of working. You may do a better job for your own purposes than the original programmer!!

Thanks for this very clear response. Indeed at least the raw materials of the libraries are always the same so you can create the library to your own taste.
