Demo w/ Silver, SAM Brass

Hi,

this new demo features

Silver - Strings, some Perc, some Wood
SAM - all the Brass, Timpani
Westgate - Sopranino
G-Town - Tambourine

I know, that the staccatos at the beginning, though up/down are the weak point.
Fast staccato passages on the same note are still an issue.
Perhaps someone tell me how to improve this.

Besides that... have fun with

Sounds good! Nice brass sounds and percussion particularly.

Yeah you\'re right about the machine gunny strings at the start. I don\'t know what I\'d do to fix that short of layering them with something else (if that\'s an option).

That said, it sounds pretty cool. I really like the theme that starts aroung 0:45.

That timp is nice too.

It\'s an impressive piece. I love the mix, very big and bold. It is nicely balanced with just the right ambiance and reverb. I have many of the same libraries as you but don\'t get that grandiose sound you have. Please tell me a little bit about your mixing technique. This is a very good piece.

I am curious about something. You have so much more volume than I with the same libraries. Do you have the volume set at 125 or something or is that the mixing?

Hi @lex,

Excellent mixing/orchestration. Loved the piccalo. Wonder what would happen if you kicked up the volume on it a little more.

Nice work and thanks for posting.

<font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana, Arial\">Wow, what a great piece. Super writing!

Yes, I\'m wondering if those repeated notes would be handled by VSL\'s performance tool.....anyone know?

I\'m curious....from what I gather, QLSO is outstanding for brass (I have SILVER but can\'t use it yet....I\'m on OSX!) so did you use SAM because you felt it was superior, or just to mix libraries for the sake of mixing?
