Kuno Schmid Interviewed

    Re: Kuno Schmid Interviewed

    Thanks for that Frederick.

Kuno has his admirers on this forum, as you know, so it\'s good to see a little of his history.

I would agree with his comments about older film music being more compositionally advanced than present day scores. It might be interesting for Kuno to experiment with combining his VSL sound with some contemporary loop and synth libraries. The resulting fusion of the two might be the next advance in media music. That\'s the kind of thing I\'m aiming for with my own music. I travel in hope.

Kuno, if you are monitoring, I have a recommendation for you. Intrada Records are releasing Jerry Fielding\'s score to Bring Me The Head Of Alfredo Garcia in a few weeks. You may or may not know the film and music, but either way, I think you would like it. Fielding, like North, combined jazz with symphonic music in an electrifying way. Enjoy.

    Luck to all

EDIT: Actually, I recommend the album to everyone!

The interview is short but interesting nevertheless.
