The 31st annual ASCAP Pop Awards were held Wednesday, April 23rd at The Loews Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. This event honored the songwriters and publishers behind this year’s most performed ASCAP songs on the pop charts. Some of the highlights included Tom Petty being honored with the ASCAP Founders Award, Fun honored with the ASCAP Vanguard Award, and Max Martin awarded the fourth consecutive ASCAP Pop Music Songwriter of The Year Award. There were also unique performances from Greg Holden, writer of Phillip Phillip’s hit “Home”, and Aloe Blacc and Michael Einziger, writer’s of Avicii’s hit “Wake Me Up”....
