The Annual NMPA meeting was held this Wednesday, June 11th. Members of the music publishing community gathered at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City to discuss the state of the publishing industry. NMPA President and CEO David Israelite presented an estimate that the music publishing industry generated $2.21 billion in 2013, but lost out on $2.31 billion due to outdated consent decrees and unfair royalty rates.
