I am glad that several developers are starting to release \"light\" versions of their libraries.
Actually Sounds Online has an exclusive \"light\" collection priced around $50 that features some pretty impressive titles.
I think this business model not only encourages legitimate purchasing (as opposed to buying from Russian bootleg sites), but I hope it will also encourage people who pirate some of these titles to at least buy the \"light\" version and contribute some of their money to the developers!!!
I think it will also make people more willing to take a chance on a new library that they are not sure about.
I hope that more and more developers consider releasing their titles as light versions in the sub$100 price range!
Hey hey, Im the proud owner of the fingered bass CD and I love them! great job.
My only wish was that there were more slides, ups and downs and various bass noises.
Roland had some on their bass and drums module and card I liked, but they dont come anywhere close to the tone of the sounds.
Great job!!
Is it possible to layer over one another 1 or 2 of the different pickups in gigasampler? Would that be desirable, to combine pickups on one key?
Glad you like my bass library! Actually I think there are quite a lot of slides , both the mixed ones (72 slide-xix) and the slide-tails(102 slide-tails) on most of the notes on all 4 strings:
Slow Up, medium up, fast up,
Slow down, fast down.
And then you can combine the articulations to create other slides like: Sustained+slide fast up-tail+slide fast down-tail. This gives you a up/down slide.
On the Slide program you can use the mod-wheel and foot-controller to select slide directio and speed.
About \"noises\" there are 40 fretnoise, 4 mic-hits, pick-up claps, 120 mutes, 44 harmonics, 2 different staccato-releases pr. note, etc.
About using 2 different pick-up settings on the same song - well I used to do this once in a while when I played the real bass: I would use J-Fingered 1 for the finger bass and J-Slap 2 for the Slapping. But now I would stick to the same pickup setting.
I wouldn\'t use 2 different J-Fingered on one track. If you need some variation in the sound, I suggest you use the different playing positions via patch changes..
