    Earl of Salisbury's Pavan

A quicky. Me playing it using Kontakt 4's harpsichord. (The only reason I didn't use the GPO one is because I like ones that have the release sample - the nice cloink.)

    Enjoy.

Now back to finishing my entry for Challenge #31.

Byrd's Heritage is a great one. But Heritage's Byrd is good as well.

Nice playing Owen. I am a big fan of Byrd. Our brass group plays many pieces of his and of that period. I am particularly partial to the Duke Of Oxford march. We often play that at weddings and as the pre or post game to a church service.

By the way, I like your speaker stand, I have one in my studio similar to it!

    best regards,

Thanks, Bill. I first heard this work when I was about 13 years old and the brass band I was in played it. I had the tenor part to play (A A E A G# F# G# etc) and I thought it was beautiful. That piece has the best counterpoint I have come across from that era.

I have a matching speaker stand on the other side! Talk about a budget studio - most things in it were either free or very close to it. My latest acquisition: Komplete v.6 for $15.

I'm glad to hear it! - I always feel bad when people see what I have. Still, it works! Most of the time.
