Even though GOS can run on lesser setups, I recommend: GigaStudio160, minimum 512M RAM, minimum PIII800. The most advanced instruments in GOS put tremendous demands on RAM and polyphony so you can never have too much speed or memory. Be aware that effective utilization of memory over 1G can be problematic in Windows (do a Northernsounds search on the subject). Running multiple dedicated machines is the route taken by many who want a large selection of sounds online in real-time. The next big update will include reduced RAM versions of all instruments in the library so that people with single machines and/or limited RAM can still use the more advanced instruments. That’s still a ways off though.
