    Jonken Boogie (Revised)

    Jonken Boogie

Significant revisions, much improved. Removed inadvertent segments from previous piece, added new material, changed tempo.

This is a change of pace for me, a break from the organ.

    The mp3 uses GPO Steinway.

Wow, you could break a piano with this one, or at least bruise your fingers! Fascinating stuff.

Curious, what is the meaning of Jonken?

Well, it is a rather athletic piece. The name is really meaningless, but it is derive from Jonathan Kent!

Well Richard, that was one wild and crazy boogie. I think a young person our anyone would enjoy giving this one a shot. I like how the left hand stays traditional but not for too long.

I think it would go over well in concert with a moderately sophisticated, adventurist audience.

    I enjoyed it!

Well, I would enjoy performing it if I could, but I am no longer athletic enough to even think about playing it!

Yep, the ostinato starts off rather conventionally, but not for long. I seem to be genetically programmed to be contrarian in many ways, which probably seems contradictory to my military career!

Well, this is completely different from the Organ work "Mocri" - you show here that you are a master of a wide style range, from Church music to Jazz.
Excellent done - I did enjoy listening to your recording!
