Splice, a cloud-based platform for music creation and collaboration has raised $4.5 million in a Series A funding led by True Ventures along with star investors including J. Beib. manager Scooter Braun, DJs Tiësto and Steve Angello, agencies AM Only and WME, Plus Eight Equity, and existing investors Union Square Ventures. The site has also moved from private beta and introduced a DNA Player, which helps artists visualize music’s source code.
