Sirius XM is is eyeing expansion of its fledgling online streaming service as a way to fuel growth, according to a major backer of the satellite broadcast service. “We are watching what happens in streaming,” Liberty Meida chief Greg Maffei told the Goldman Sachs Communacopia conference last week. “Taking Sirius unique content beyond the car in the home and in the office, it’s an opportunity we’ve not yet attacked.” Sirius XM subscribers can currently choose a stand-alone net radio package for $14.99 a month.
