Can anyone help me with logic audio on PC

Hello, i recently just bought my logic audio for pc installation but some functions that i felt should be out of the box arent working.

    Problem:

    1. When i arm an audio track to record and have my input going into my ASIO device(lexicon core 2 studio system), i can record vocals or any type of audio into logic but my problem is that the level metering does not work...i mean i cannot monitor the input level within the audio mixer page. I must be doing somehting wrong or have not set something up because whenever i test out the demosongs within logic, it opens out and the level metering works, but whenever i get back to my file i\'m working on, it does not...do i need to set something i\'m forgeting too?....i have checked the reference manual back and forth but it does not mention any of this in it...can u help?

    2. Whenever i move the sliders across any open window (arrange or any of the editors)while a track is playing
the tempo of the track slows down and also i hear noises like pops, scratches and clicks...like a dragging noise...and might i mention my system configuration (Pentium III 815E intel chipset, 512MB memory, IBM H/D with 46.1GB, 7200rpm). which i\'m nt sure might be the problem cos it handles fine when i open up the demo songs in logic, which are all audio files in comparison to my midi files.....

i\'m under huge stress adn behind on projects, could you plese help...thanx very much in advance....

That sort of sounds like a video card thing..
Are you running an agp video card or a pci card..
If you can move your card to another slot or try assigning a dedicated irq # for your video card and audio device in the Bios..
You shouldn\'t need to lower your video acceleration down but maybe..
    Hope this works..

You got the system but make sure your mother board is optimized for the faster drives ata100.. Check the ide cable to make sure it\'s ata 100/66 approved.
I ended up going scsi/cheeta drives..
But have since got an ata 66 drive running really good. So far it runs 12 audio tracks without any problems.. I haven\'t pushed it further.. Update logic to the most recent update.. Up to 4.61 for platinum, 4.5 for gold...

    Quincy,

You\'ve been given good advice, but I would like to add to it, if I can...

You must MAKE SURE that your audio device (Lexicon Core) is configured properly. Hopefully, it comes with software for configuring the inputs and outputs as desired.

Upgrading to the newer version is good advice, and also make sure that you try disabling your software monitoring in your audio device setup page in Logic Audio.

You may need to contact either Emagic or Lexicon, or at least research their respective web pages, to see if their are any issues with these two products co-existing. Emagic has a list of audio devices posted on their website that have been tested with Logic Audio, and their results of these tests, with recommendations for latency settings within the ASIO driver setup.

Once again, make sure you\'ve routed your audio correctly when attempting to record.

    Hope this helps...
