Found these videos on youtube, demonstrating common trumpet mutes: (Part I) (Part II)

I am using the original version of JABB and wondering if anyone has had any luck simulating the difference between the stem in and out with the harmon mute instruments. It seems to me that it could be done with cc 1 (lower values) and compensating with cc 7 (higher value). For example, cc1=25 and cc=100. Am I on the right track?

I find that, most of the time, when I use the harmons I want the cc1 value rather high, to get that bright buzzing sound. But I am experimenting now with using the harmons in softer passages and blending a bit with the reeds or strings.
