Can anybody explain the Damping-section of "Ambience" to a lost soul?

    Hi!

I thought I knew a little bit about equalizing. So far I had no problems with the Ambience plugin for GPO, but for days I\'m tring to figure out what the % (percent) value in the Damping section means. It\'s not written in the manual either.

I understand that for example with the basses knob you adjust the frequency where the eq starts damping the signal. But what does the percent value mean? Dooes it mean:

    * how strong the signal will be manipulated?
    * how much of the signal will remain unaltered?
    * how steep a curve moving down from the starting frequency will be?

Did anybody understand that part of Ambience?

    Pete

    http://www.smartelectronix.com/%7Emagnus/

On that site Magnus mentions that you can email him or go to the Smartelectronix discussion board on K-v-R.

Thank you very much! I\'m writing there right now. Let\'s see what he says and I will share the info here.
