GPO & ProTools Tutorial - by Nikki (DigiGirl)

Nikki has put together an excellent tutorial (complete with screenshots) on how to use GPO in ProTools. Although Nikki did this on ProTools for PC, it should apply to Mac Systems as well.

Here is the tutorial:

This will be very useful for ProTools owners.
Nikki is a regular contributor to the Digidesign User board and the Waves board always helping those who need it. It\'s an honor to have you here Nikki!

And thanks for taking the time and trouble to put together this tutorial!

You insert GPO as a plug-in on an Aux track, not a midi track. You assign the output of your midi track to the input of your aux track using the same midi channel that GPO is assigned to. Hope this helps.

Wow, way to go Nikki! Thanks for taking the time to do that. It took me about a week to figure out how to actually get sound from my midi tracks with GPO + PTLE. Pro Tools can be confusing sometimes, but well worth the extra effort. (Coincidently, Nikki\'s the one who helped me learn midi w/ PTLE over at the DUC.)

Side note: My favorite thing about using midi on the aux tracks...you can add plug-ins just like it\'s already audio. pretty cool stuff!

anyway, thanks again!

Mike P~
