Can you get more volume out of Giga?

I am using Giga 96, Cakewalk PA9, and a Delta 1010 soundcard and whenever I mixdown my midi files to audio in Cool Edit Pro, the waveforms always come out way to soft. I have my soundcard peaked out and I even record each of my tracks seperately in Cakewalk at a volume of 127 and still when I open up Cool Edit Pro, the sounds peak out at around -12 dbs. Is there any way to get more volume from Giga or Cakewalk? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Just a thought...but what are you using for velocity settings?

Do you mean velocity settings as in velocity note values or is there an additional setting to make my sounds louder in Giga or Cakewalk?

Have you tried sending your samples to a nfx reverb, lower the \'wet\'level and raising the dry ?
Works for me, then again i\'ve always used a hammer to crack me nuts

I\'ll try that Blob, sounds like it should work. I never thought about it. Thanks!

How are you setting your mixer volume controls, are you using the Windows mixer or one that came with the Delta? Make sure that you\'re changing the recording level and not just the playback level.
