As promised, I am starting the list earlier this year so folk have more time to prepare their songs. I was rather late last year due to working to recover our independence of the project and to return it back here to its original home.
We warmly welcome both regular contributors and new contributors. Do please take a little time to read our entry requirements below to avoid disappointment should we be unable to accept a nomination.
The requirements for taking part remain unchanged from previous years and are summarised as follows.
(a) A song can be nominated once. If a song is already nominated please choose another song.
(b) One song per person so no medleys. (These encroach on other entries).
(c) Your song must be in the public domain. If unsure try an internet search to check.
(d) Your song must be your own 'performance', arrangement or your original Christmas song.
(e) Garritan libraries only must be used but can include a 'live' singer or choir.
(f) Please do not use live recordings of instruments. (Listeners might confuse with libraries).
(g) The duration of your recording should be no more than 4 minutes.
(h) As in previous years, all entries are offered freely and may be downloaded freely.
The deadline for sending in all entries is October 31st. As before, sending in a song is no guarantee that it will be included on the CD.
Those who nominate their songs retain full ownership of their arrangement/recording/original composition; this is not compromised in any way by anyone.
Do please PM me if you would like to discuss anything.
Very best wishes,
