I am trying to create sounds with very short rise and decay times using Giga LE (latest version) and sequenced notes from Pro Audio 9. Using a short looped sample of constant amplitude, I have been able to achieve sounds with rise times that are essentially instantaneous. I have been unable, however, to obtain decays shorter than about 10 msec. despite numerous adjustments of EG1 and EG1 parameters. Only an unlooped sample \"played\" beyond its actual length yields a sharp decay.

Does anyone have suggestions for achieving very short decay times with looped samples?

Thanks,
Peter
