compressed audio samples in giga instrument

I have a giga instrument which contains bad samples, thus I would like to edit them. But it seems impossible because they are somehow compressed. The gigastudio manual mentions compressed samples only in one sentence and nobody else seems to know anything more than this. I wonder why nemesys doesn\'t just say: \"it\'s for protecting the instrument; copyright issues\". But instead they say nothing, so I sit here for days trying to figure out whether it is possible to edit these samples or not.

    Any ideas(pleeaase!)

Thanks in advance for any replies,

    Max

I think the compression is for saving space, more than to protect the instrument. Either way, you can’t edit the samples. Have you tried contacting whoever created the library?

The latest Awave program decompresses compressed GIG samples. Try it at http://www.fmjsoft.com

Thanks man, this really helped. I am going to buy Awave Studio very soon.
