    STATEMENT FROM JOE ABOUT TASCAM

I found this at the Yahoo form and pasted it here .
A Quote from Joe of Nemesys

    Giga Users,

I wanted to share my feelings about this acquistion. We (NemeSys founders and
    engineers)
have expressed all the same concerns/excitements as you.

This acquistion process did not happen over night - it has actually taken a bit
    longer than
anyone anticipated. But the extended time has given a chance to feel very
    comfortable
with our new partners. I truely believe the \'new\' Tascam has the right vision.
    They are
smart enough to understand that the line between \'software\' and \'hardware\' is
    becoming
very blurred. And if you want to succeed in either, you better have an expertise
in both. They also know that there will always be those folks that build
their sampler from software-only components, as well as those customer that
    don\'t want to mess
with computer technology and just want a turn key solution - two different type
    of customers, never
leave any money on the table. Don\'t expect the
Giga software only product line to ever go away. It doesn\'t make much business
    sense.

We are extremely excited about the opprotunities this merger provides us. The
    founders
of this company come from an engineering background - it is what we love to do
and what we do best. The rest of the work is required to run a business. The
    entire
engineering staff as well as some the key product specialist, like Kevin, are
    100%
onboard going forward. We don\'t see this as the end of NemeSys, but the
    beginning
of the Giga technology. We can now take the technology to the next level.
    Anybody
that was concerned about this technology being around for the next decade ..
    well ...
they have one less thing to worry about in their lifetime

    Regards,
    Joe (NemeSys)

Sounds to me like Tascam will come out with a Hardware version of giga studio.
Im just concered that they continue to support the software version.

Tascam looks like incorporating the technology in their SX1 recording workstation....says http://www.sospubs.co.uk/

Actually I think it would be a good idea to just stick GigaStudio as a hardware system with maybe the user having options to add their own IDE & SCSI hard drives & CDRW\'s etc. The more I use Giga the more I think Windows & PC\'s suck and that Giga deserves better! ;-)
