Kyrie - arranged for string quartett

I adore the pureness of the choral music of Palestrina, so I tried to write a Kyrie for a capella choir somehow
touchung this kind of spirit which moves me very much. This is my string quartett version of this Kyrie:

"Kyrie eleison - Lord, have mercy"
"Christe eleison - Christ, have mercy"

    Hi Gerd,

very nice adaptation of this chorale for string quartet! It brings out the beauty of the musical flow which Palestrina had in mind. Works well with the string solo sounds. One could also imagine that this would sound good when being played by a full string orchestra (adding a bass line based on the cello voice).

    Thank you, Reinhold,

I am not sure, whether you thought this would be just an adaption of a chorale by Palestrina. Actually it is my compostion. I just tried to catch the spirit of Palestrina ...

Oh, I am very sorry for my mistake!

I am not very familiar with Palestrina's music, but I thought it captured well the overall spirit of a chorale in his style.
Excellent then, as an original composition this is even greater!
