Hi Gang,

Things have gone from bad to majorly worse with my dedicated GigaStudio computer. I was a recent participant in the \"WARNING IBM Deskstar\" thread - my IBM drive was showing signs of dying. I was a recent participant in the \"OT BAD RAM\" thread. I was getting memory error diagnoses from Norton.

Let me cut to the bottom line: My RAM is fine, my motherboard is bad, and in the course of using IBM drive fitness testing software to try to recover and restore the hard drive, the IBM drive totally fried itself. (Good riddance) Since I can\'t afford the GigaStudio downtime to wait for the ASUS motherboard\'s warranty exchange process to run its course, I\'m going to install a new motherboard and cpu. I think I found a decent deal ($249) on a higher performance board/cpu that will still let me use my existing SDRAM. But I need some expert feedback on this board/cpu.

The specs follow. I would sure appreciate any feedback on the suitability on this board/cpu for use solely as a GigaStudio host. I plan to order today ... so if you have any thoughts at all, please do so!

Thanks in advance,
