SB Audigy Platinum ex

I´m looking at a new soundcard this x-mas and this one seems like a nice one.

Uh... But does it work with giga?

Re: SB Audigy Platinum ex

Yes, but NOT in W2k or XP... Since it doesn\'t have GSIF drivers at all...
Work only in Win98, Win98SE, WinME

Ah so that´s what the GSIF -drivers mean...
Thanks a lot!

You might want to also look at the M-Audio 2496. It\'s around the same price.

Thanks Ben

That card seems very cool... And I´m not at all happy about all the useless software they pack with Audigy (you´re gonna have to install them, they´re \"built in\" with the drivers) I don´t want fruityloops!!

But a lot of future software should support Audigy´s features, and I like having that cool remote controller

Hmm... But maybe I´ll think about it some more. I read somewhere that Audigy should be able to process 24 bit / 96kHz (or something), but only \"virtually\"... What does it mean exactly?
