I was as curious as you were when I saw this title. It was printed in gold foil down the spine of a very old leather bound book in the basement of our local library.

I gently opened the book and on the time-weathered pages it read : United States GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE - Style Manual - January 1939

It is sort of a rule book for newspapers and magazine distributors, published in Washington by the Joint Committee on Printing...
