Do any of the Logic Pro 6 users out there have any insight in how the new plugin version of PMI Bosendorfer compares with the EXS24 version? Does the plugin take better advantage of the samples then the EXS24 sampler? Does the plugin run seamlessly within Logic?
Re: Plugin version of PMI Bosendorfer versus EXS24
The plug-in runs as an Audio instrument under Logic, flawlessly and even
more transparent than the EXS version.
The plug-in offers full control over the disk streaming parameters. The
Plug-In can also be used as stand alone application. The plug-on offers true
re-pedalling, EXS not. The plug-in has complex release samples control, EXS
has not. The plug-in can add special velocity curves, EQ, effects, special
tunings and more all in one application. EXS not.
My choice would definitely be the plug-in since it is not limited to 64
voices polyphony and simply sounds a lot better due to the better
programming features in the NI Kompakt engine.
