Damper control?

I was looking for a way to use dampening technique on timpani last night and couldn\'t figure out if it could be done using the kontakt player. Is this something again that has to be edited afterwards?
Thanks

I\'m pretty sure this is controlled with the sustain pedal (whether played or sequenced is based on your equipment.)

Re: Damper control?

OK, this is wierd. Using my Evolution MK-261 and the sustain pedal, no damper. Using my Roland FP-88 which has a damper input on the back, the damper effect works. I have a dual pedal connected to it. Is this supposed to happen? Wierd.
