OK, I\'ve heard it all. Required Listening?

I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions for listening material. Musicians on the outskirts of the spotlight would be cool as we\'ve all heard stuff from the bigwigs like Elfman, Williams, etc. It doesn\'t have to be film music. Although that\'s the focus of many people here, I think it\'s good to listen to alot of different styles.

Any suggestions from your own collections?

Ok, I\'ll go first:

Joe Hisaishi - Princess Mononoke
Michael Kamen & Orbital - Event Horizon
Brian Eno - Music For Airports
Tom Waits - Bone Machine

Listen to Lindsey Buckingham\'s music from the album \"Out of the Cradle\". Also, check out Ween\'s album \"The Mollusk\" and, if you haven\'t already, the band \"Oingo Boingo\".

If I could just choose one piece to force someone else to listen to, one that hasn\'t been recognized by a lot of people, I\'d choose Vaughan Williams\' Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis.

But if you haven\'t checked out Frank Zappa\'s The Best Band You Never Heard in Your Life, you should listen to it. It has the best version of Bolero...EVER! and probably one of the best live recordings you\'ll ever hear. The name really says it all.
