    Rendering Problems w/ Galaxy Steinway

    Folks,

    I love the sound of the Galaxy Steinway (got mine last week) but I\'m having serious problems with dropouts during rendering. Using a midi file of Chopin\'s Nocturne Op. 48 #1 C mi I get serious dropouts during high polyphony rendering with either Sonar or Cubasis. If I just \"playback\" the file - no problem. If I render or play the same midi with the PMI Bosie with either program - all other setting being the same - no dropouts. For stereo renderings I _could_ work around this by playing the file on one machine and recording it via SPDIF on another. However, I can\'t see how I can do this for 5.1 mixes. So some questions:

    1) Has anyone been able to render the Galaxy Steinway in stereo in either Sonar or Cubasis dropout free? If so what were your DFD settings? Any other tricks?

    2) Has anyone been able to render the Galaxy Steinway in 5.1 in 16 bit? in 24 bit? Any tricks involved?

    Thanks,
    Freya

    Re: Rendering Problems w/ Galaxy Steinway

    Hi,

    yes, i do !

    With Athlon 2400+
    768 DDR
    Windows XP
    a second 7200 HDD (Western digital)
    OK : 16 bits/48000 or 24bits/48000
    DFD : 248 / 192 / 384 -> works with default program and my new programs

    see the other post - see the good idea of Xavier Bidault the good idea to save polyphony.

    Regards,

    Olivier
