Smile The Return of the Soldier

    Hi,

I would like to show you my newest composition. It´s called "The Return of the Soldier". It´s completely done with GPO. I used the "dry - samples" and afterwards some EQs and a reverb - effect. I have composed it without any specific intention - so to speak just for fun.

Please let me know what you think about it.

    Greeting,

    Blackster

Very enchanting, you should compose music for a Peter Pan movie! Or a movie about soldiers. Perhaps toy soldiers.

I have a major problem with this......it's too short.

Very nice composition and beautifully executed.

    Thanks to all so far.

Ok, ok, it´s a bit short, but I let you know if I´ve finished a new (perhaps a longer) one. I love this GPO - Stuff.

Re: The Return of the Soldier

I think you got that I was joking about it being a bit short, but want to post just to make sure. But, yes, when you do finish something else, long or short, please post it.

This one sound realy more bombastic.
That's the kind of music i will do in the future.
    Very well done.
Perhaps you can give me some mastering tips??

Re: The Return of the Soldier

I think the only tipp is that you have to trust in what you hear. Use a single EQ for each track or instrument. Afterwards "try to find the frequencies" you want to push up in order to give the instruments a better sound. Here are some examples what I did in this track ....

Solo Vln: I increased the frequencies over 12K with a level of app. 4-5dB
Basses: Increased the frequencies und 1K with a level of app. 3-4dB and
    reduced the middles (4K-8K).
Drums: Here I also pushed up the low- and middle frequecies.

But that´s not the only thing I did. The reverb is adjusted to the seat-position of each single instrument and its frequency range. That´s all

I hope that this was the answer to your question ....
