In case everyone hasn't already noticed our esteemed moderator has ventured into the world of sample libraries. I encourage everyone to support Alan in his new role as sample developer. Alan's been an intergral part of the GPO community since day one and has helped establish the good will that everyone takes advantage of today. Lets all give him our support, so we can see his creative ideas come to fruitition (I hope that Avant-Garde library is somewhere in the future. .) I've got my name down for the first shining copy (or the second or third .) When I get my copy, I plan on posting a demo for everyone to hear (with Alan's blessing of course, as I'd hate to cost him sales.) Alan is teaming up with Bela D Media (Diva, Phantom Voices, Voci) to release this new Acoustic Bass library and with other libraries in the future.
So everyone dust off your credit cards and get ready to "Expect the Unexpected."
Wow Mr. Burrell! Thanks for that! I wanted to post about it here, but didn't want to spam...
Thanks for posting the full details Gary. It was a fun project, and we have a couple more up our sleeves - but this will not take away from any of my Garritan duties, just so you guys know. I'll still be here, listening to the fantastic demos, getting slapped with 2112's trout - you know, the usual
BTW, just posted this this morning:
**"Forgiven Riff" 320kb/s MP3 (Approx. 30 sec.) NEW! Selection from the song "Forgiven" written by Alan Lastufka and Darryl Kinley Mock-up by Alan Lastufka This demo shows what the Acoustic Bass Guitar is capable of naturally; no EQ, reverb, compression or any other processing has been applied, except the body resonance impulse included with the library. This was programmed in-house with the computer's mouse, to show the results you could get, even without live performance capabilities on the bass. This truely is the A.B.G. right out-of-the-box.
