    down tempo music ?

    does anyone know the meaning of "down tempo" music ? I don't understand what is that mean, Thanks.

    I don't know Faithless, but Massive Attack are in the downtempo category. Other artists you may have heard of include Air, Thievery Corporation, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Portishead, Red Snapper, Zero 7, DJ Shadow, Goldfrapp, Cinematic Orchestra, Funky Porcini, Lee and the Elevators (!), Boards of Canada, etc.

    Music like Massive Attack's is sometimes called 'trip hop' too. Not sure whether that's just a name used in the UK. Lots of good stuff in that category. Check out 'Six Underground' by Sneaker Pimps (great name!) if you get a chance. One of my favourite songs
