Look, I've been on this forum listening to all your music and I want to say something FROM THE FREAKING HEART!
Take your theories and books and charts and school classroom book thriving' jive cosmic debris and burn them! There's more to you than all of that. What I've heard from all of you warrants the respect of listeners all over. In my book you are nothing sort of great musicians, composers and innovators!
When I feel like giving it all up, one of you post a piece that seems to put the spark back in.
When I feel the weight of my responsibilities crushing me and suffocating me, one of you post a favorite of mine and lifts me out of the turmoil!
I may be alone with these feelings and I may sound absolutely crazy. But, I know what makes me happy and feeling alive inside, you ... all of you I have had the privilege to understand and converse with. No longer do I feel useless because of you and your wisdom and musical abilities! God, do you know what this is all about! Listen to you! You're out there making music and there are people listening! Ten years ago who would have imagined?
I just listened to DPDAN's rendition of Jurassic Park. I feel very deeply he captured the very essence of the piece. And, it was all done by ear. (hope his ear is OK).
I close by saying deeply, thank you for letting me be me and letting me share your music. This is better than any radio station out there. There is always something new to listen to.
So, I am an old fool who makes a fool out of himself everyday. SO WHAT'S IT TO YA!
Keep up the excellent work people and bring it on!
Once again, Thanks Gary for GPO.
I haven't offered any music yet but, as I've said before, I greatly enjoy listening to the latest demos as I'm never sure what I'm going to hear next! Yes, and there have been a number of stunning surprises over the (nearly a) year which make it all worthwhile. (The launch anniversary isn't far away now!!)
I imagine that after Gary's 'Real Orchestra' competition is over there will be even more
