    Whistling samples?

I'm working on some layouts for a radio spot at the moment. The client asked for something "funny" and so one of my ideas was to include whistling. Since my own whistling attempts sounded "experimental" at best, I wondered if there are any whistling samples available...

None that I can think of. You might have to go with hiring "whistling talent" - I'm sure an ad in your local paper will bring an interesting mix into your studio lol.

Symphony of Voices has a whistling choir of 80 people!

One of my favorites in the library. It was hard to do, since everyone kept laughing

Wear a short skirt and walk by a construction site...drag whoever whistles the loudest and clearest back to your studio and you're all set. I should also mention that shaving your legs would probably attract the upper echelon of the whistling elite. They don't pucker for just any pair of sticks.

i think if oliver wears a skirt, shaves his legs and walking pass some construction sites he could do kinda more of a "hard-laugh"-library

Everyone knows how to whistle! Come on, you can do it, you're probably just being too hard on yourself. Just sit in front of a mic and whistle away....I'm sure it'll sound fine! And if you need some help, there's always Autotune!

    Hey that's right!

(Eric, I wish Symphony of Voices came in a virtual instrument like NI - that would be so cool.)

I agree! Just go with a stage mic position, close mic'd whistling will likely have too much air.

I personally prefer to keep the sample libaries and their playback engines separate.
