Nicholas Pavkovic sent in an original composition for your listening pleasure.
Nicholas' cue is a Copland inspired theme for a Western. Mostly GPO was used (esp. trumpet, harp, Steinway, celesta & strings) and this was done in Logic.
Hi everyone -- thanks for the nice comments. The "fiddling" is by my friend Tim Wilson, formerly of the San Jose Symphony. Actually, he'd never fiddled, per se, and I'd never really tried to write out a fiddle part. But we were pretty happy with the results. Enjoyed working with the GPO instruments (first time); especially loved the Steinway.
All the horses and cows and pigs and livestock are all dancing in the meadow! Awesome just plain darn yahooing knee slappin jaw jabberin awesome! (Spittoowy, ting! ) Why, I hopped up on my mule (can't afford a horse) and rode out into the sunset! Man, did I get one heck of sunburn. Never do that again partner! In the words of the my hero John Wayne, "Thems fighten words, Ned!" And from one of Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns;
Little guy says - Whatdcha say your name was buddy?
Clint Eastwood - I didn't.
Little guy says - OK, I didn't!
proceeds to light Clint Eastwood’s cigar.
Mr. Copland would have been delighted! Very American old west flavor.
