    There's an old sampling CD called "Clockwork" (Best Service), I'm still using it often for this kind of stuff...

    Heith, here's a wild guess:

    1) Take a normal music box.

    2) Record the winding.

    3) Play recording 1 octave lower on your favorite sampler.

    4) "Cinematic" the sound with a large dark hall reverb.

    Clockwork is a really good disc....well recorded, versatile and exactly what you're looking for.

    Incidentally...not many people know that it was the one of the very first sampling CDs ever made....kind of historic!
