Actually haven't changed updated or whatever to the PC. Can't imagine why all of a sudden it decides to shut down when opening studio now. Everything else on it's own works fine.
If I click on GPO studio the pc shuts down. ? I don't tink it like me anymowea!

Michael, I wonder if you haven't got a virus? Do you run anti-virus software of some sort?

I know you're getting bomarded with suggestions, but have you defragged your disk lately?

I had a simular problem. Turned out that since I got the machine there was bad memory in it. Found it by running MEMTEST86 overnight and it found problems with both my memory modules. Replaced the bad memory and now it is rock solid.

Funny, been running the machine since January 2004 and never had any signifcant problems till I got GPO. Seems that the sampling software makes heavier use of memory than other software (not the amount of memory but in the way it uses the memory). A little advise to everyone, if you haven't checked your memory, you should.

    Get it here: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/memtest86.html
    or here http://www.memtest86.com/
