    A scary cue for Halloween

A mean cue for Halloween: The Hords
    Libraries used:
EWQLSO, Sam Horns (fxs) & Trumpets, Storm Drums, VOTA, KHSS for the solo violin in the B section, Cameleon 5000 & Distorted Reality 2 for the intro and monsters fxs, Tob'staccato piano and as usual I put in some guitar everytime I have an opportunity to do so.

    Thanks Sean

The effect you are refering to is in the Sam Horn library_fx.
It is a bunch of french horns going crazy. I love these too.
Gotta be careful not to over use them though.

Hey Patrick - good stuff. Have you enjoyed DR2? I have Atmosphere coming soon and really thought about picking up that title as.

oh no! the Elfman stigma !

    Thanks Rob

I love DR2. Actually it was my main library for the ambient score of a feature film I just finished. For ambient, Atmosphere + DR + Cameleon 5000 (you can also throw in Absynth) and you are all set. The problem with DR is that it is so good that many TV and film composers have been using it for years and you can hear it in a lot of films and series. So I recommend processing it to make it more personal...

    Hey Patrick,

I have heard DR 1 - what new ground does DR2 cover. Many thanks.

Re: A scary cue for Halloween

I have both and they both are cool. SD2 was recorded a few years later and I like the overall production better. The way different types of sounds are organised is a little clearer also. Eric Persing had suggested I start with SD2 at the time...
