    Re: Europe side: When???!!!

    What does Tascam Europe say?

From other posters, I understand that existing non-US GS customers can upgrade via the US website now:

    I confirm.

    I bought the 50$ upgrade last Sunday. (+ 60$ for shipment = 110$, so...88 Euro...)

This is possible since around two weeks.

And I doubt that the 50$ will ever be available in Europe...

Is it also possible now for non US residents to upgrade from Gigastudio 2 160 to Gigastudio 3 Orchestra from the US website? Or is it only those 50$ upgrades...? Does anybody know?

I upgraded on Tascam's site about 4 weeks ago.
They shipped it to Norway without a hitch.
It took me those 4 weeks to get the registration key though,
but it looks like they've got the process automated now.

The Gigastudio 2 160 to Gigastudio 3 Orchestra is the 50$ upgrade.

For non upgrade copies I think Thomann is the best shop in Europe.

    Or maybe Best Service.

Or Musicians Gear if you are very, very patient...

There is also this upgrade that I am concerned:
Standard Upgrade Pricing (for copies purchased before Jan 1, 2004)

    GS2.5 160 > GS3 Orchestra$249

This is incorrect. The $50 upgrade is only valid if you purchased a new retail version of GS2 160 after January 1, 2004.

For GS2 160 owners who purchased PRIOR to Jan. 1, 2004, the upgrade to GS3 Orchestra is $ 249 + shipping:

Your are right, I forgot to mention the ‘After January 1rst 2004’ condition.

For the Standard Upgrade Pricing (for copies purchased before Jan 1, 2004) there is no availability at Thomann :
http://www.netzmarkt.de/thomann/iw_s...d=9&PAGE=1Best ...you should email them to know. (This is a good shop. The biggest one in Europe.)

Best Service is cheaper, but there is no mention of upgrade.

Otherwise, I wait my first copy to make some tests before buying anything else, but I can’t find any information about ‘Subsequent Copies’ for multiple licenses in any shop, including the Tascam shop... Don't know were to get them...
