I agree, the harp sound good on this. Imagine, Gary suggesting harp. You'd think he liked the instrument or something
I actually did a version of this for a clarinetist a couple weeks ago- we couldn't decide between piano or harp so I split the arpeggios in halfs and did half with harp and half with piano. (In the piece as written they are actually twice as fast as the way you did it.) It's a neat effect if you want to try it!!
He's going to play to the track on Wednesday, believe it or not. I'll post it if you want to hear it. It's going to be re-rendered with Gary-harp as well!!
Interesting how different people hear the same piece in a very different way.
This is how I want this to sound: ftp://18.104.22.168/BachGounod.mp3
The performance could be improved, but its time to go to sleep now.
Keep on making your interpretations - there is no right or wrong as long as it sounds the way you want it...
René, I like your version too, and I know there are more chords that don't exist in my version, but I wanted it to be super simple. Sometimes music speaks to us more when it's uncluttered, less for the brain to comprehend.
Thanks all, and thank you Gary for suggesting the harp.
