    Hey Jeff,
NICE arrangement! I think that it could have used a bit more reverb, but that is just my personal taste! Otherwise, Well Done, Sir!

Yeah, the arrangement sounds pretty good. I don't know if the really staccato beginning is intentional or not, because it's REALLY staccato. Yeah, I thought it needed a bit more reverb, too.

Cool! Thought I heard some horns in there too...whatever it was it was doing some cool inner melody.

I agree that it could use some more reverb or perhaps a larger "room". Very nice though!

Dang...I gotta get going on my offering!!

Thumbs up Re: More Christmas Music

    Very nice Jeff.

There were some odd harmonies but they kind of fell in place so they started to work well. Only thing I would do is to try to make the first bridge (about 1/3 in) little more softer, it's too quick/harsh for me but you have nice transition idea so please use it more.

Ah! Also, lose the the very last staccato chord.

    Keep up the good work!
    Sincerely,
    Falcon1

    Re: More Christmas Music

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'll definitely add more verb, I'm always too conservative with it.

Craig: The staccato was intentional. The notes were slightly longer when I first started the mockup. But I wanted a lighter feel, so I shortened them. They sound right to me now, but I might have lost perspective. Are the staccatos too short?

Falcon: You're probably right about the first bridge. I'll tone it down a bit. I was using ensemble building here, and I changed the mod wheel for each separate player. I think I got a little too creative with drawing in that data which caused the bridge to be too loud.

    Any other suggestions?

    Re: More Christmas Music

One more teensy nitpick (and who am I anyway??) - but you might try attaining a more legato style on some of the string runs, because if you CAN achieve a bit more legato, they will sound more real. I have had this same critique of my work, so I'm not trying to say "I've arrived" cuz I haven't!

    Cool chord structures!
