Just found this forum today... I hope someone can help me.
Does this seem right... having to return the Halion 2 cd rom when upgrading to version 3? I've never heard of this strange practise before. What if I am not happy with Halion 3 and want to go back to version 2, I won't be able to if I don't have the disk. Also, what about loading halion 2 programs into version 3? I trust ver3 can still read the old .fxp files and remember whatever tweaks and adjustments I've made to the samples in Halion2, or will I have to reload the samples again and start from scratch?
Thanks for the reply... I'II do just that.
Only I got an e-mail this morning from Steinberg saying I wasn't registered (ordered the upgrade a couple of days ago). There must be a mistake at Steinberg - I still have the reply e-mails from them thanking me for registering Cubase and Halion with passwords and usernames etc. Hopefully a quick phonecall on Friday morning should sort this out.
