Thank you for listening, guys!
Without hope for any comments (now it's 14 min. long ) I'm glad to say that I completed the poem. Thanks to it I learned a lot how to write for solo strings.
Andy generously let me submit the piece for contest. Joseph Burrell helped me to upload it. I know it's not perfect, but this is the most significant work I've ever done for a quartet.
VIOLIN 1 GAGLI KS SOLO
VIOLIN 2 STRAD KS SOLO
VIOLA KS SOLO
CHELLO 3 KS SOLO
This was a real treat for me. For one thing, this gave me the opportunity to hear my "playable" tremolos and trills programming in action for the first time in a truly exposed musical setting. Very sensitively and beautifully done. Fun to read along with Andy's score too. I enjoyed every minute.
