Wink Good sources for midi Piano performances ?

    Hi

Have any of the great pianists or performances been captured on, or converted to midi ?

Does anyone know of any web resources, preferably free.

Wouldn't it be cool to have Brendel (via a midi file), playing my new Old Lady Steinway, in ... oh don't know ... the concert hall at Sydney Opera House (through Waves IR1)... in my house ?

    Thanks for any pointers ...

I do, but the performances are being sold on CD, so can I still give someone the MIDI file? I will check with my lawyer and find out. Either way I can send you some.

I don't know if these performances are from great pianists:

    Andyt,

one more link to add to you collection:

    http://frontpage.uk.digiserve.com/mu...nov%20page.htm

You'll find midi files of performances by Rachmaninoff (derived from piano rolls).

Flight of the Bumble Bee;Rimsky Korsakov, recorded by Rachmaninoff

    Liebesfreud ;Kriesler/Rachmaninoff, recorded by Rachmaninoff

Minuet (L'Arlesienne); Bizet/Rachmaninoff ,recorded by Rachmaninoff

Have a look around the whole site. They even have some stray things such as midi files of Liberace (not that I'd place him in the same class as Rachmaninoff).
