I can think of several ways to overdub onto sampled tracks, but would like to hear what methods people are using. For instruments, are just recording to your sequencer and then adding another track while listening? (Which sequencers are good for this? Any to beware of?)
For vocals, do you record a new wave file while listening to either the sequencer or a wav file of the rhythm tracks, and then bring the two files together in a sequencer that supports both wavs and midi or something like Sampltude?
I guess I\'m asking both for procedues and for suggestions about the value of specific programs for overdubbing: is it more simple in one sequencer than another? Do some programs have features that make overdubbing easier or better?
